Exhibitors were full of praise for 2016 edition of the January Furniture Show:
What a fantastic show we have had
Dean Delvin, Complete Colour
We’ve had a very good show – better than last year, which was also a good year for us, in terms of footfall and orders. It’s been the perfect platform to communicate our new brand strategy of breaking our products down into categories which has had a great take up. The January Furniture Show is also a great platform for showcasing the very best of handcrafted pieces and quality English craftsmanship which we’re proud to be a part of.
Clive Kenyon-Brown, Chief Executive, Duresta
The quality of customer has really improved this year and there’s been a very clear turnaround in confidence. We’ve also spoken to more Irish customers here than we have in the past 10 years which shows people are ready to invest.
Alan Sweeny, CEO, Alfrank Designs
Our new position, with other bedroom specialists nearby, has worked very well for us. In fact at this stage it may prove to be our best show ever.
Kai Schwenke, Export Director, Wiemann
We’ve been pleasantly surprised with the breadth of clients from retailers, interiors designers and the contracts sector. We were impressed with the organisers who listened to what we wanted from the show and they made sure we were in a good position.
Mark Wilkins, Sales Director Swaffer fabrics, commenting on the introduction of the Fabric Pavilion
The show was great – easy to navigate with some really interesting new additions and a number of exciting developments from longer established exhibitors
Emma Leeke, MD, Leekes Retail
Hall 5 is where we used to be and where customers expect to find us so it was good to be in familiar territory and being back here plus the Sunday opening has been a great improvement on last year’s show for us.
Alan Cozens, MD of Steens, commenting on the re-introduction of hall 5
We’ve been very happy with the show and the first two days were incredibly busy.
Javier Palao Chirlaque, Spanish sofa company Fama
It’s been very clear to see confidence is back. Visitors to the stand were ready to spend and wanted to buy in bulk to stock up following one of the busiest starts to the year that they’ve seen in a long time.
Dean Delvin, Complete Colour art displays
It’s been very busy for us with lots of new business contacts. We started to see confidence building in November and December which has continued into January and the shows.
Alistair Scott, Sales Director, Libra
